The Glenrothes are experts in whisky making, with over 150 years of experience on their private estate in Rothes, Speyside. Aimed at a specific set of high net-worth clients, we created a rich visual world around the launch of The 18 based around the concept of knowledge, effortless complexity and the emergence of the unexpected.

We returned to the Speyside estate with photographer Elena Heatherwick for a springtime shoot, to contrast the rich amber tones of the world of The 25 with the fresh tones of the early months of the year. We collaborated with Kate Jackling once again for the product shoot, capturing the liquid and tasting notes with light wizardry and subtlety to create a new approach in-category.

I wouldn’t recommend climbing into the middle of a gorse bush at 4:30 in the morning in order to help get the shot – turns out its surprisingly painful and you come away with a lot of scratches.

Thank you again to Tom Sutcliffe, my long suffering sidekick. Producers Kathy Sihavong and Victoria Lechevalier who had never been to a Greggs, but we finally changed that.
